Digital Photo Frames: How Do They Work?

!: Digital Photo Frames: How Do They Work?

Now that digital cameras are standard, just about anyone can take good quality photographs at the touch of a button. With today's technology, you don't need to wait for your photos to be developed and printed, and you're not restricted by the number of exposures on a roll of film. You can take as many snaps as you can fit onto your camera's memory card, edit or delete them as you wish, and then just store them digitally. That's why most of us have hundreds or even thousands of photos stored on our computers, iPods or other digital devices.

The trouble is, all those image files on your hard drive take up a lot of valuable space. And with so many photos, how can you display the best ones without the expense of printing them all out and buying frames for them? - not to mention the question of where to put them. In the old days people used to arrange their favorite photographs in albums, and display those that meant the most to them around their homes and workplaces. Well, these days you can use digital photo frames in the same way, but with far more flexibility.

Just like conventional frames, digital photo frames are available in a wide range of sizes and styles, so you should have no problem finding models that fit your needs and lifestyle. You can display a digital frame on a table or desk, put it up on the wall, or carry one of the smaller versions with you in your purse or backpack, or attached to a keychain. The beauty of a digital photo frame is that you can load it up with many different images, and then pick which one you want to view at any given time. In that sense it works like a combination of a photo album and a frame.

To display your photographs you simply slot the memory card from your camera into the digital picture frame. Some of the latest versions also have built-in storage space that you can expand with an SD card. You can typically download images and other media onto your frame in a variety of other ways, too. Many models have internet connectivity via a USB modem or Bluetooth that allows you to access files from your email, and from RSS feeds and photo sharing sites. Others can connect to the cellular network so you can load photos straight from your cellphone. You can often also share files between different digital photo frames, as well as sending them wirelessly to a printer.

In addition to displaying your photographs, both singly and as a slideshow, many digital frames can also play video and audio files in various formats, and display text. These models are equipped with speakers, and some have a remote control for the ultimate in convenience. With the right software on board, you can hook your frame up to a DVD player or a PC and use it as an external screen. In other words, a digital picture frame is much more than just a place to store and view your family portraits and vacation snaps. With so many different capabilities it can be a true multimedia station that you and your whole family can enjoy for many years to come.

Several Tips For Using a Digital Clamp Meter and Multimeter

!: Several Tips For Using a Digital Clamp Meter and Multimeter

Measuring the electrical current, you will need to insert the meter to the circuit. In most instances, you can open up the wiring connections, whether it is live or not, it is impractical and also hazardous. In measuring the AC current, you may use the clamp meter. It surrounds the wire and also uses the magnetic field in determining the current. It is safe, quick and also accurate. The modern digital clamp meters will act just like the two meters in one: They will do the standard measurements for the voltage and also resistance, and they will also use a clamp in order to measure the AC current. Here is more information for you.

For the first step, you can turn your multimeter on and then set it in order to read the AC current.

For the second step, you can use your clamp meter in order to measure the current in the household two-wire lamp cord. After that, turn your lamp on. Then, open and close it therefore it will surround the power cord of your lamp. Remember to not pinch a wire inside the clamp parts that will meet together. Though a lamp is on, you must be reading nearly the zero current. As the clamp will be around the two conductors that are carrying the current in the opposite directions, the magnetic fields will cancel out.

For the next step, you need to prepare the extension cord by separating two parallel conductors. You need to separate them for the length of about a foot. Do not forget to check that a copper wire is still insulated and also not exposed.

For the last step, plug an extension cord into the wall outlet and then connect your lamp into an extension. After that, turn your lamp on and then close the clamp meter around one conductor's extension. You must get the clear current reading between.5 and 1.5 amps. As the clamp will surround only one of the conductors, you may get the accurate reading. Whenever you will use the clamp, it should surround only the single conductor; the multiple conductors can distort the reading. When you are testing the meter, you can unplug an extension cord from your lamp and then discard the cord.

Great Gifts For Men Turning 50

!: Great Gifts For Men Turning 50

What does a man need for his 50th birthday? Probably nothing! You are better to ask what does a man want for his 50th birthday? How do you help someone celebrate a half century (ooh that makes it sound old!) Yet 50 is not old - with the advent of great medical care we are living longer and many men are just as fit and healthy at 50 as they were at 40. We are certainly living longer - many men until they are at least seventy. So, you can play it safe with the good old gag gifts making reference to being Over the Hill or Past It (whatever 'it' is?). Or you can get a little more creative and thoughtful for a gift or gifts for a 50th birthday celebration. Gift choices depend on a couple of key factors: how well you know the recipient and your budget.

If the birthday guy is family; son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle or husband then likely as not you will know that person well and will be able to select an appropriate gift related to one of their hobbies or interests, golf or fishing for example. A milestone birthday such as fifty is perfect for providing a gift for triggering memories and celebrating the life they have had so far. Creative photo displays with a collection of their favourite memories are a good choice as a 50th birthday present. Photo storage boxes are also ideal, where you can put your own carefully selected image in the display slot and then they fill the box with more photos (not so many now in our digital age) or other family keepsakes.

Personalised gifts are another option - if still working, a business card holder engraved with their initials makes a nice gift or how about a valet with a personalised plaque commemorating their 50th birthday. You could get a glass (beer or wine) engraved with a personal message or choose for a range of commercially produced glassware or ceramics. Gift baskets for men are increasing in popularity and can be filled with all sorts of goodies from shaving equipment and their favourite brand of toiletries to snacks and chocolate and other gourmet goodies. A 50th birthday balloon or balloons attached to the gift will let everyone know that they have a milestone birthday.

If you do not know the person well and have no idea what they are interested in then an age mug is an appropriate gift or a T-shirt, (although you will need to know their size for clothing purchases) and there are some great slogan T's making funny references to getting older and balder or more grey hairs!

Have fun choosing an appropriate 50th birthday gift from the huge selection available online.

I'm Not Afraid to Love the Way You Lie When I'm Gone, Thank You Stan - Eminem Live Acoustic Remix

www.tommyknox.bandcamp.com Get my Digital Albums and MP3's at the link! Have a listen to some of my original songs! www.facebook.com www.twitter.com I really like the song Not Afraid and I was going to do it all the way, but the verses are kind of weird "sung" and that's true of a lot of his songs. What's cool is the melodies and keys are similar for guitar with a few of his songs. I thought I'd take a few choruses of Eminem and make a whole new song! The chords are pretty easy Not Afraid and Love the Way you Lie are Em CGG/D or D if you want When I'm gone is CD Em Stan (Thank You) is ECDGG/D or D I thought I'd do this with lyrics so here are the lyrics as they are in the Medley Just gonna stand there and watch me burn That's alright because I like the way it hurts Just gonna stand there and watch my cry That's alright because I like the way you lie I love the way you lie I'm not afraid To take a stand Everybody Come take my hand We'll walk this world together Through the storm Whatever weather Cold or warm Just lettin' you know that You're not alone Holler if you feel like you've been down the same road When I'm gone just carrying on don't mourn Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling And I didn't feel a thing So baby don't feel no pain Just Smile Back My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why I got out of bed at all Stormy rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all Even if I could it'd all be gray But your picture ...
